Overside Safety Track Access Rail System
APB is a source to help yachts with repair, service, inspection and load testing of their crew Overside Safety Track Access Rail System. Access rail systems are required to be tested annually in accordance with Maritime and Coastguard Agency, EN 795:2012 Type D. APB also inspects the structure where the access track is installed as APB’s facility has class certified personnel to make the structural repairs if required to ensure the access track is safely secured.
The over-the-side access rail system provides a method of attachment that allows crew the freedom of movement and the ability to lock into position to service the exterior of the yacht by working outside of the yacht’s conventional guardrails for cleaning and yacht maintenance. Harken and Ronstan access rail systems have a track that can be extended to any length and has a two-car locking system that allows the attachment for a single person to suspend over the side of the vessel with a working harness and a required fall arrest harness. An additional lockable car is available to be used as a tool service carrier.
